The Governing Body is asked to consider and approve a request from Angelica Castillo Chappel on behalf of the Community Mexican Fiesta Association to allow the Mayor to proclaim the month of September 2023 as Hispanic Heritage Month in Garden City, Kansas. |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND:
The Community Mexican Fiesta will be celebrating its 97th Annual event and the theme this year is "Nuestro Recorrido, Nuestra Historia - Our Journey, Our Story". |

- The Governing Body may approve the proclamation as presented.
- The Governing Body may deny the proclamation.
