Tanya Ibarra submitted a complete application to be considered for appointment to the City of Garden City Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. Her application was presented and reviewed at the August 28th Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Meeting.

Ms. Ibarra is a lifelong resident of Garden City and is employed by the City of Garden City as a Court Clerk. She has served on the Little Leaders of GCK Early Learning Center Board for over eight years. Ms. Ibarra states on her application that she wants to continue being active in the community and assist with future development.

The City of Garden City Parks and Recreation Advisory Board recommends the appointment of Tanya Ibarra to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. Because there are two vacant seats on the board; it is recommended that Ms. Ibarra be appointed in September 2023 to complete the vacant board member term that concludes in December 2023 and appointed to the three-year term that begins in January 2024 and expires in December 2027.
