Assistant City Manager Burke will provide an update on the second round of Moderate Income Housing (MIH) awards for 2023. |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND:
On August 14, 2023, the Kansas Housing Resource Corporation announced awards for the second round of Moderate Income Housing (MIH) funds. The City of Garden City had two projects that submitted an application, neither project was selected.
As as reminder, Garden City submitted the following projects for this round of funding:
- Petra Residences - Garden City Project (130 units)
- Garden City Apartments Project (140 units)
The following projects were awarded in the southwest region of Kansas:
- Hayse Management Rentals, Kiowa County, 6 units
- Sandy Creek, Pratt County, 8 units
- Prairie Vista, Stafford County, 9 units
- Ashland 2020, Inc. Workforce Housing Project, Clark County, 2 units
